1. The service
RealReveal provides a platform for Australian property buyers to share opinions, flag issues, and review listing agencies based on their own experiences. The service is informational only — it is not legal, financial, building, or valuation advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement under Australian law. You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting, you grant RealReveal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You represent that you have the right to post your content and that it complies with our Community Guidelines.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Post false, defamatory, harassing, or hate speech content.
- Share private personal information about others without consent.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Spam, scrape, or attempt to bypass security or rate limits.
- Use the service for unlawful purposes under Australian law.
5. Moderation and removal
We may hide, restrict, or remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines. Users and third parties may submit takedown requests via our contact page. We aim to review takedown requests within 7 days.
6. Third-party listings
Property data may be sourced from public listing pages (e.g. realestate.com.au). RealReveal is not affiliated with listing portals or agencies unless explicitly stated. Links to original listings are provided for reference.
7. Disclaimers
Content on RealReveal is crowd-sourced and may be incomplete, subjective, or inaccurate. Always conduct your own due diligence, inspections, and professional advice before purchasing property. The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RealReveal and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on user content. Our aggregate liability is limited to AUD $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any), whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you cannot waive under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for operational reasons with reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state or territory in which we primarily operate, unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
