Our purpose
RealReveal exists to help buyers — not sellers or agencies — make informed decisions. Contributions should reflect genuine inspection experiences, reasonable opinions, and facts you believe to be true at the time of posting.
Do
- Share what you saw, heard, or smelled at an open home or inspection.
- Rate agencies based on your direct interaction with the listing campaign.
- Flag issues using the predefined categories when they apply.
- Post anonymously if you prefer — your identity is still linked for moderation.
- Report reviews that violate these guidelines using the report button.
- Use the inspection checklist as a personal aide — it is not a professional report.
Don't
- Defame or harass — no personal attacks on agents, vendors, neighbours, or other buyers.
- Doxx — do not publish private addresses, phone numbers, or other personal data of individuals.
- Fake or astroturf — no paid reviews, competitor sabotage, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
- Spam — no advertising, referral links, or off-topic promotion.
- Illegal content — nothing that violates Australian law.
Photos
Upload photos you took yourself or have permission to share. Do not upload images from listing portals that you do not own. EXIF metadata is stripped on upload, but you should still avoid images that identify private individuals without consent.
Agency replies
Verified agency accounts may reply once per review on their own listings. Replies should be professional, factual, and responsive — not argumentative or retaliatory.
Reporting and moderation
When reporting a review, choose the reason that best fits:
- Spam or advertising
- Harassment or hate
- False or misleading
- Offensive / inappropriate
- Shares private information
- Something else
Moderators may hide content, suspend accounts, or request edits. Decisions are made in good faith; repeated or serious violations may result in permanent suspension.
Legal removal
For defamation, privacy, or other legal concerns, submit a takedown request on our contact page. We aim to respond within 7 days. Email legal@realreveal.com.au for urgent matters.
